It was a gorgeous day at Kingsmill Resort Williamsburg Va.
A little warm for a late September day but gorgeous none the less. I remember pulling up to the magnificent Estate House at Kingsmill and was awe of its’ beauty. The family of the bride and groom were hustling about finalizing last-minute details. Their excitement was tangible even in the parking lot. We are long overdue in sharing this Kingsmill Resort Wedding of Dalton & Brittany.
When looking back at 2019 their wedding was one of the highlights of our year. Getting to know them during their engagement session, bridal session, and planning calls, we just completely adored them both and their families. When it came to their wedding day we were just as excited as everyone else around! Kingsmill Resort Wedding
Brittany was as calm as a cucumber. Seriously so calm and at ease the morning of her wedding. Dalton, on the other hand, was not as calm. However, he pushed through his nerves and when he saw Brittany for the first look everything felt right.
Let’s talk about that First Look for a moment…
First Looks are so amazing. It allows room in the timeline for more photos but also for a time to have with just the bride & groom. For Dalton, it was a time to have a moment with Brittany without everyone looking and for him to take the moment in and of course her beauty in!
Brittany walked right up to him and grabbed his butt! Â It was perfectly them and I love that we captured that moment. Â Stormy, their pup even made an appearance for some portraits. Â A big Thank You to Kingsmill Resort for making this happen for them!
Their ceremony was outside under a big tree that overlooked the James River. It was a picturesque Kingsmill Resort wedding. A good friend officiated the ceremony and again the ceremony reflected this couple with sunglasses and humor about their early high school sweetheart days. When these two came down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Roe the ground shook from the applause of all their guests and family.
The celebration continued on in the beautiful Kingsmill Resort wedding ballroom.
The room was fully draped and the hedge wall that Karen decorated with florals was a show stopper! However, nothing could compare to the life-size Brittany poster rocking a Chick-Fil-A shirt! You know I was in the photo booth getting lots of selfies with her!
Dalton & Brittany know how to throw a party. These two know how to have fun. But more than that they know how to bring the people that they love together and make them feel loved and appreciated.
We adore you both and we are so excited for the next chapter in your lives. Thank you again for having us as your wedding photographers! We are truly honored to capture this very special day!
