Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
We met Ronnie & Ashley on their family farm in Windsor. To be quite honest, we had never traveled out that way and it was so nice to be doing an engagement session at a new location! Their land was amazing and the horses were topping on the cake!
I loved their country style and Ashley with her laugh and infectious smile reminded me of a young Dolly Parton! These two together were so much fun and Luke and I cannot wait for their wedding this September. They are getting married at The Barns of Kanak and from what I hear and see online it is a beautiful wedding venue located in Prince George Virginia outside of Richmond. I’m not sure if there was any one moment, but I do know that from the time that I first met Ronnie, we just fit. It was so effortless. Everything that I typically feel or do in a relationship, well it was the opposite with Ronnie. There was no guessing, we were on the same page from the very beginning. We let things grow naturally, and it ended up happening very fast. There really was never a doubt about Ronnie after I met him, it just wasn’t until later that I realized I’d spend my life with him! Ronnie jokingly told me on our second date that he was going to marry me; this normally would have scared me off, but with Ronnie, it just made me that much more excited about him! horse engagement photos
We had planned a trip to Charleston SC. Ashley had planned out all of our festivities for the trip a few weeks before we departed. Knowing what i knew before hand I rushed off to the diamond store and purchased the ring i knew she would love for the rest of her life! She planned a carriage ride for us through the town of Charleston and when the carriage ride had come to an end we were take a few pictures with the horse that was pulling the carriage. It was at that point , while the cameras we still out I proposed to my best friend!
This was my favorite moment! Them feeding the horses and then taking some of them out to walk around with them. Can we just do horse engagement sessions from here on out? They are magnificent animals and I truly wouldn’t be disappointed if we had a horse for every session!
Going back to Ronnie & Ashley, not only do they have horses, but cows, cats, and of course their pup. We had such a great time with these two and we are so excited to be celebrating with them. Scroll down below to see their gorgeous country style engagement session!
I am grateful for this downtime, because normally I don’t blog much anymore and so I don’t have the opportunity to show off our amazing couples. However, with all of us stuck inside, I am using this time to blog some work from 2019 and early 2020. So stay tuned!
If you loved this session then check out these below because they are filled with more horses, the country, and beautiful people!
