It’s time to share the Williamsburg Inn Bride.
At least I believe Brittany should be the poster bride for the Inn. The Williamsburg Inn Bride. She has the beauty, the smile, and that dress! Believe it or not this beauty is actually expecting their first child right now! Her and Dalton married at Kingsmill last September and they are already expanding their little family! I love when our brides opt for a bridal session. It is a more southern tradition, so not everyone goes for it, but when they do I am leaping with joy! It is a time to spend with just the bride and not have to rush about trying to get bridals. It’s such a great time for her to try out her hair & makeup and make any last minute adjustments if she wished. Can you not tell I seriously love bridal portraits!
The Williamsburg Inn is always so picturesque.
We love shooting weddings there, as well as any other type of portrait session that we can do there. It is such an amazing venue and we are so lucky it is so close to home!
When shooting bridal portraits, I do recommend these tips to follow:
- Bring a bouquet. Aleen Floral Design created Brittany’s bouquet that would resemble her wedding bouquet but on a smaller scale. Karen with Aleen told me she put this together last minute and with the flowers she had on hand. I couldn’t believe it. It was stunning! I recommend a bouquet because not only does it add to the photos but it gives the bride something to hold. Many times we don’t know what to do with our hands in photos and so having a bouquet gives us something to do.
- Hair & Makeup. I mentioned this briefly, but if you are getting a bridal session done, do not skimp out on hair and makeup. This is a great time to trial it all together and make adjustments if needed.
- Bring a white sheet. The white sheet is used to place under the dress. The bride will be wearing this on her wedding day and we do not want to take any chance is getting it messed up. So when we place the gown on the ground it is actually laying on a sheet that is neatly tucked in.
- Bring a friend or family! Having someone there to help you smile and relax is key. You are the center of attention and it can be a little intimidating to be in front of the camera all by yourself. Having someone there to help you relax and enjoy the moment will make these photos memorable!
I am so excited to share these photos. This was last summer and because of Covid 19 I finally have the time to get these on the blog! Better late than never!
