Lavender and Navy Blue Wedding
I am loving this gorgeous lavender and navy blue wedding that took place at the winery in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Ryan and Milena are absolutely perfect for one another and watching them make it official was such a joy. Family is EVERYTHING to these two and having their loved ones cheer them on and celebrate the newlyweds made the day perfection.
The anticipation permeated the room and Milena was giddy with joy! She was so cute jumping and dancing around so excited to marry Ryan. When Milena’s family started pouring in it was obvious just how important each and every one of them was to her. I even found myself teary-eyed as she hugged her grandmother. I love how she took the time to spend with them and it was something special watching all of them.
Romantic intimate rainy day weddings are sometimes the best!
As much energy as you put into your day to make it perfect, there will be things that arise that are out of your control. However, the one thing you can control is your attitude and perception. It poured on Ryan and Milena’s big day. Seriously the skies opened up and it came down. Their plans for a beautiful outdoor ceremony changed last minute. Talk about stress! However, I LOVED their positive outlook and I LOVED how they didn’t let the rain spoil the day. These two are the abslute sweetest and I love the joy that radiates from them.
The rain ended up being just as beautiful and adding an extra dose of romance to their day!
The Williamsburg Winery is one of the prettiest venues in Williamsburg.
With the Wedmore Place to get ready at just a walk away and a gorgeous space to get married in, this wedding venue is a favorite to host your friends and family for your wedding. I especially love that they have a backup plan for the chance of rain. The backup space was a lifesaver for our couple!
One thing about the winery as it is definitely a challenge for a photographer! Being able to light up the venue space and yet still capture the ambiance of the celebration can test any photographers skills!
And I just want to give a huge shout out to my husband Luke!
He nailed it! This wedding was shot with mostly off-camera lighting which would have scared us a couple of years ago! Yet Luke has developed his style and skills and I think this wedding showcases that and more! I love that the Wessex Hall was lit up beautifully and the ambiance of the night was captured perfectly! If you are a photographer and the thought of shooting the majority of a wedding with OCF terrifies you then know that you are not alone!
