Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!

This Potomac Point Winery wedding was full of the most gorgeous fall inspired colors that made this fall loving gal’s heart skip a beat or two!
This year we have been able to visit some really great venues in this beautiful state of ours. Virginia is full of some pretty amazing wineries and I am excited to check off this little winery located in Stafford, Virginia just outside of Washington DC. The Potomac Point Winery has a little Spanish vibe to it which gives it its own unique flair. I loved the view of rolling vineyards that this Tuscan styled venue nestled in the heart of the winery. The gorgeous gold-copper gazebo laced in the beautiful floral arrangements from (Floral arrangement) was like the icing on the cake!
The one thing though that I have been noticing is just how much our couples compliment one another. I know it might sound cheesy, but in all seriousness, our couples bring out the very best in one another. Their personalities shine and they fit so perfectly together. Luke and I find it such a joy that we get to work with people like this. Couples who genuinely love and care for the other and who are each other’s best friend.
During their engagement session, we soon realized that these two were so fun and full of personality! There were lots of laughs and as their story unfolded we just knew that they were perfect for one another.
On the day of their wedding, we were excited to see this fun-loving couple again. We were stoked to watch them become husband and wife at this romantic venue! Even their little dog Bay was there in the midst of the party and it was fitting! Carly was such a chill bride. So calm and collected. Because of time, we had to change the times of some portraits and she went with the flow never showing any signs of worry or doubt. Let me just say I LOVE when our couples trust us. It helps us get the shots they want even if means changing up a few things.
They were both full of smiles and not an ounce of stress in their bones. ( At least I couldn’t tell).
little Bay greeted her. I loved that Carly stopped to love on Bay. A dog mom after my own heart. The cutest picture though was after the ceremony when Mark and Carly had just been announced, husband and wife. Their sweet little pup was so ecstatic and we got the cutest picture out of it! You could just feel the love and excitement in that photo!
These two danced the night away.
I don’t ever remember Carly sitting down and maybe even Mark. I love how they celebrated with their guests all night! To top it off Carly left a little surprise for Mark during the garter toss. Apparently, there is a thing called “getting iced.” If you don’t know what it is you can go and google it. Usually, it is a small bottle but Carly could only find a fairly large bottle and to all the crowds’ surprise Mark chugged it down. It was a sight to see!
Mark and Carly ended the night with a spectacular sparkler exit. Sparkler exits are my favorite. ( Even though they can be dangerous)! With their exit photos, you can feel the excitement and anticipation in them and so it is worth it!
Thank you to the new Mr. & Mrs. May your love never fale and we wish you a lifetime of love and laughter. Cheers to these two who get to spend forever with their best friend!
Love you both!

They had the most beautiful reception in the Richland Ballroom! So stunning!
The Richland Patio was also a gorgeous space for their cocktail hour.
