Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
We woke up to heavy winds, gray skies, and the threat of rain. I won’t lie, I was a little disappointed in the weather. We were heading to a wedding on Gwynns Island deep in Gloucester. Our couple had planned for an intimate backyard wedding overlooking the water and at last minute they were going to have change plans and rearrange everything.
It made me sad as we drove to this quaint little island that looked something out of a Nicolas Sparks movie. As we drove over the little bridge right before their home, I had decided that no matter the weather, we were hired to capture the day in authentic beautiful way and even though challenging, we were ready to take on the challenge!
Titus & Jesse Ann are seriously the sweetest couple.
Even though, their ideas of their day were thrown into a whirlwind, their calm and demeanor were so encouraging. Because of their attitudes we were all able to embrace the rain and find beauty in the disruption.
I have learned that it takes a village to do many things. And one of those things is not only planning a wedding, but also executing. So many things are uncertain and so much can happen. Like a Nor’easter storm coming through!
This couple is so fortunate to be surrounded by so many selfless caring friends and family. Because of everyone’s help, their day was absolutely perfect. The couple was able to take in and enjoy the moments together because their loved one’s made sure they could.
There were so many favorite moments from there day that I have thought about that I loved. I loved that she had her two friends sing during her wedding while she and Titus took turns washing one another feet during their ceremony. I also loved watching them sit at their table while her sister serenaded her with a medley that represented both of them so well. It was cute, funny, and touching all at once.
Titus & Jesse Ann, thank-you for having us. You two are such an incredible couple and we are so excited to see what the future holds for you.
Love,
-Luke & Ash-
