Afton Winery
Afton Winery is a beautiful vineyard located in in Afton Virginia outside of Charlottesville. It was the perfect location for John & Sarah’s Engagement session. Not only the perfect location but an absolutely beautiful day! Not a single cloud in the sky!
Our original plan was to their session at JMU in Harrisonburg. They are JMU alumni and the campus has their heart. Unfortunately on the day we scheduled their session was also family day on the campus. Meaning lots and lots of people! Sarah made a good call about moving the session elsewhere. Not only does JMU have their heart, but also wineries. John proposed this past summer at Williamsburg winery and it was fun to head back to the vines where it all began!
John & Sarah are just the sweetest.
They will be getting married next August at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington. This place is so beautiful and I can just picture a timeless classy wedding thrown by these two. Luke & I loved spending the evening with them this past Saturday. The lighting was a little rough and the winery was a little crowded, but after looking at these pictures they made it look flawless! I cannot wait to see these two become official! They are going to make the sweetest husband and wife duo and it will be a joy to celebrate with them both.
On a side note… It truly is a small world. While we were ending the session we ran into one of our past couples mother in law who is also the owner of HIP a local Studio Boutique. They were celebrating their mothers 90th birthday who happens to be the original owner of Afton Winery. It was so awesome to meet her and see our beautiful couple and their family! I absolutely love this business of ours! It seems we run into friends wherever we go!
