Surprise Proposal Fort Monroe

Ashley contacted us awhile ago about scheduling a portrait session with her boyfriend and their Frenchie Louis.  We began the process of getting them on the books, planning outfits, and getting excited for a fun time with her and Tyler at Fort Monroe.

Little did she know that Tyler gave us a phone call prior and said that he was planning on proposing during the session and to be ready!  We would be doing a Surprise Proposal at Fort Monroe! We were stoked and tried to play cool while it all unfolded.  The only request Tyler had for us was that Louis be in the picture at that moment.  It all played out wonderfully and as we took some test shots of Ashley, Tyler was behind her on one knee.  It was perfect!  Ashley of course said yes!  Tears were shed and laughter and joy was exuded.

These two have been together for 4 years.

They did a long distance relationship for awhile and now are able to be in this area together.  They are so good together!  And Louis, their French bull dog is so loved and fits their little family perfectly. We had such a great time afterwards strolling along Fort Monroe and getting pictures of the newly engaged couple.  Ashley’s ring is incredible!  So of course I had to grab some ring shots of that beauty!

We ended the evening on the beach.  They were met there with family congratulating and celebrating with the couple.  More happy tears were shed and it was such a fun way to end the session!

Congratulations Tyler & Ashley.  We thank-you for trusting us to capture the beginning of a new chapter in your lives and we truly enjoyed our time with you!  Now it is time to plan a wedding!!
