Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
2018 is definitely a year of new adventures. We love being able to experience new locations and venues. The Princess Anne Country Club is one that we are so honored that we could shoot at! Nestled next to the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, this country club is such a beautiful place to get married. Not only is it gorgeous but the sweetest and most caring people work there. They not only care about each and every couple that comes through their doors, but also the vendors that work alongside of them. We loved getting to know these awesome people and we look forward to working alongside of them again in the future!
It dawned on me the morning of their wedding that exactly one year ago on Cinco De Mayo of 2017 we shot Adolfo & Kathryn’s wedding. A sweet and gorgeous couple who were so down to earth and so much fun. How fitting that one year later on their anniversary we would be shooting another Catherine ( Spelled differently), and they too would be so down to earth and so much fun to work with. Brian & Catherine are the dream couple. They have a great sense of humor, and they put up with Luke’s sarcasm! That says a lot! Seriously though, we are truly lucky to have couples such as Brian and Catherine.
Not only did we have a gorgeous couple and bridal party to work with, but Catherine’s taste is my kind of style. Classic dusty blues with whites, blushes and greenery cascading all over was incredibly stunning! Palette of Petals did such an incredible job with all the florals! The brides and bridesmaid bouquets were some of the biggest bouquets I have ever seen! I loved all the texture that was included in these bouquets! Absolutely breathtaking!
With the farmhouse tables and florals galore it absolutely gorgeous! Another one of my favorite things that the couple chose was the twinkle lights that Stage Right Lighting set up. Having those lights as a backdrop on the dance floor brought so much classic and romantic ambiance to the room.
As much as everything was beautiful, the most beautiful thing was the love between not only Brian and Catherine, but also their families. I know that might sound cliche, but this is why I love weddings. Everyone coming together and sharing their love. And their families did this very well. I loved watching their parents dance the night away and when Catherine’s father got up and thanked her mom for being his very best friend for all these years, tears welled up in my eyes.
I love the love that they share and these two newlyweds have an incredible legacy of family to pass on. What an incredible blessing to be apart of.
Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Heth. You two were a joy to celebrate and we hope your honeymoon is everything and more! Wishing you both a lifetime of love & happiness!
