Right now in Virginia as I type this it is 18 degrees!
That is right… 18 degrees. I am seriously questioning my choice of region that I live in. I am most definitely a southern girl at heart and whenever the temperture drops below 60 I immediately find myself cranky, hating life, and embracing hermit tendencies. I am trying to work on this about myself, but come January every year I just go back to being miserable. Let me know if you can relate!
To cheer myself up, I decided I needed to blog some of our favorite sessions from 2018. Rob & Alissa immediately popped in mind. These two are seriously so much fun. Luke and are looking forward to their wedding at Wintergreen this summer because we just get to see them again! Funny story about this session, this was actually our second take! The original day of their session Alissa got her hair and makeup done and looked stunning. The forecast was cloudy but nothing to worry about. Once we drove into Yorktown it started sprinkling, which turned into heavy showers. This was not on the forecast. We pulled in and decided to wait it out. The doppler system said the storm would pass quickly. Yet it didn’t. Here we were sitting in our cars waiting.
The rain let up a couple of times and we decided to give it a go.
Poor Alissa, just after hair and makeup getting rained on! I felt terrible! The rain did let up eventually and we were able to get some pretty awesome shots! Some of them being some of our favorites. However, I knew deep down she wanted sunshine and so we told them we can try again.
2nd time around, Yorktown showed off for us! This time we met up in the battlefields and got some gorgeous glow with them! They were also pros by then with posing! We literally had so much fun laughing and carrying on with these two!
2019 is full of some incredible couples,
Rob & Alissa being one of them. We are truly so lucky that we get to meet and spend time with people like them. It makes us love our job even more!
Some of our favorites and again, relishing in all this sunshine because right now I need it!
