It’s been a journey. A time of really examining and looking into who we really are as photographers. Why we are doing what we are doing. Our vision and our goals. We have built our foundation and now it is time to grow and live out our dreams.
We contacted our branding consultant about 3-4 months ago. We were desperate. We were at a place where we knew if we didn’t get help we would sink. And we were not about to let ourselves sink. So in comes Aiya. An AMAZING girl with insight and a keen eye for detail. Immediately she asked me to build a mood board. Well she didn’t realize I was pin happy and I think I pinned a little bit of everything to my mood board. LOL. We also showed her tons of other photographers who we follow and love. She would just smile and nod and then ask us the real questions. Who were WE? What did WE want to do?
Well during this course we really began to pay attention to our strengths and weaknesses. We also confessed with what we liked and then what we LOVED. We realized that although we liked shooting families/kids/and everything in between….We LOVE shooting Weddings. It is where our heart is. We love meeting new couples and getting to know them. We love capturing the most important day of their lives and then showing them their pictures so that they can re-live those memories.

So after narrowing down to what we LOVE we had to then construct our brand. Who exactly are we? Yes we are wedding photographers but what makes us different? Sometimes that can be such a hard question to answer, and it was for us. We have been so used to comparing ourselves to everyone else that we missed on why our clients hired us.
So then I began to read the reviews and talk with past clients. It really all came back to relationships. My brides are more than just a client they are my friend. We strive to build relationships with our brides and grooms. We want you to feel comfortable on your wedding day and not feel worried about the camera.
Relationships are important to us. Your relationship with your partner is important to us. That is why we are wedding photographers. To capture the love and bond you share. So this is not only our brand but it is who WE are.
Now that Oct 1 is finally here and we have launched I couldn’t be more pleased. I told Aiya that she really kept us grounded in who we were. It is so easy to go with the fads or copy someone else. It is hard to stand on your own. However, with her help I think we have accomplished it.
We are Luke and Ashley. We have a crazy busy life with 3 kids, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
