Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
This past weekend on Valentines Day, Luke and I had a bit of nostalgia.
You see we had the opportunity of witnessing a sweet elopement ceremony at the Magnolia House Inn in Hampton, VA.
The owners at the Magnolia House did an exceptional job hosting and facilitating everything.
They really made sure to set the mood and create a nice intimate special ceremony.
We definitely look forward to visiting them again.
Ariel told me that they had originally planned for a 2016 wedding. However, due to circumstances they decided to just go ahead and tie the knot with just the two of them.
It was so sweet watching as she nervously read over her vows. The anticipation was real and very tangible in the air.
I could relate to the butterflies and expectancy.
James & Ariel wrote their own vows to say to one another. It really was such an experience to share in that moment and reminded us of our small little ceremony 11 years ago.
I definitely look forward to shooting more elopements. I love the intimacy and casual feel of it all.
We wish these two the very best and a lifetime of happiness together!
Be sure to leave them some love in the comments below!
Love this sweet moment!
