First Landing Park Maternity Session

This session at First Landing State Park brought back so many sweet memories with this couple. This is an ideal time to get pictures at First Landing State Park because the moss on the trees are absolutely gorgeous! The way the moss falls is like a magic wonderland! The deeper you go on the trail, the more moss you find. It is so gorgeous and I don’t think I would ever get enough of it! Honestly, I love all of Virginia State Parks.
The thing I love most about this little business of ours is doing life with our couples. We are there when they are engaged, even sometimes when they get proposed to! We get to be apart of the planning process, hear about the all the wedding details and excitement. We then of course get to celebrate with them on their wedding day and it is one of the happiest days of their lives. Sometimes we even get them in front of our cameras for their first year anniversary session. I love catching up and hearing about their first year of marriage together. Ultimately though, I love getting that email about their first pregnancy. That moment that they begin expecting their first baby. The excitement is tangible and at that moment I know I have the best job ever!
Jon & Samantha have been one of our “couples for life.”
Luke and I have loved watching their journey and every time they come up in conversation we both say how much we love and enjoy them! They are the sweetest couple and they are going to be absolutely amazing parents!
For their maternity session, we met up at First Landing Park in Virginia Beach. This was the place where we did their engagement session a couple of years ago! We even went to one of the same exact spots! It was sweet to reminisce and see their growth as a couple. I am so happy for them and so excited to what the future holds! They have the best Christmas present coming for them and they have decided to wait until the baby comes to find out what it is! Such an exciting suprise!
