Scott & Katie tie the knot at Blue Valley Vineyard
This Blue Valley Vineyard Wedding is one for the books!
We love when we get to shoot a winery wedding and this wedding was absolutely amazing! Saturday we drove up to the Blue Ridge mountains in Northern Virginia. We decided to take 17 and drive through wine country. Unbelievably beautiful! The drive was totally worth it because the view was incredible. Just give me a Target and a Starbucks and I can move out to the country! I can definitely see myself living out in wine country! There were wineries to our left and right and I couldn’t get enough of the Valley wineries!
We normally do an engagement session with all our couples. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance with Scott & Katie. They live in Arlington VA and with our schedules, we just couldn’t make it happen. Instead, we set up a time before the wedding for a FaceTime date. We hit it off right away and Luke and I immediately liked them! Normally we would be a little nervous heading to a wedding where we didn’t know the couple, however, not in this case. We were so excited to meet them in person! It was like seeing old friends! We are so thankful for technology!
Perfectly fitted together
Scott & Katie are like the perfect puzzle pieces that go together. They fit so well together and they were completely meant to be! Celebrating with these two was such a joy and we couldn’t be more happy for them. As I was editing their sneak peek I just couldn’t help but picture these two back in the twenties. Hanging out with Ernest Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald. They just have this glamorous look about them, don’t you think?
Katie picked the prettiest gown from Katherine’s Bridal located in Alexandria. It was classy and yet the beading added a bit more vintage glamor. Also, let’s just talk about her hair! She looked right off a bridal magazine! Scott was all dapper in his navy suit from JCrew. Navy suits are definitely a favorite of mine on the groom. The groomsmen also rocked Americana socks with stars and stripes!
This couple married at the top of a hill overlooking the vineyards.
You could see other wineries to our left and right such as the Barrel Oak Winery. As wine tastings and guests were enjoying one side of the venue, Scott & Katie’s friends and family cheered them on as they committed their lives to one another. Signifying it with a mixing of wine and sealing it with a kiss.
Thank-you Scott & Katie for having us! We truly enjoyed our time with you guys! You two are so good together and so much fun to be around! Looking forward to hanging out with you again!
