52 Week Project { Week 2 }

I am now going into my second week of this project.  This week’s word is Downtime.   Downtime is a lot of things to me.

It is taking a nap…lol.  It is curling on the couch for a Netflix Marathon, or even a nice cup of coffee in the morning.

However, because we are really busy with work, school, and keeping a house together,

I thought the most important kind of downtime is play.

When my kids go outside they always have to play in the backyard.

The street we live on cars are always flying by and it drives me crazy!

So when we get some downtime we always try to take the kids to the front so they can ride their bikes up and down the street.  They love this.  We will literally watch them for hours it seems.

So this week we took them out and they got to ride and have some fun.

I love this quote from George Benard Shaw,

We don’t stop playing

because we grow old;

we grow old because

we stop playing.
