Today I am sharing week 12 of my 52 Week Photo Challenge. This weeks subject is Black & White.
I LOVE Black & White images. Some images are made to be in B&W. And then there are some images that are not. It’s funny because when I first started this photography journey I didn’t necessarily have an eye for this. I would just randomly turn images in B&W. And sometimes it worked… However, more than often it didn’t.
There are times now that when I take an image and look on it on the back of the camera…
I immediately know that it would be a lovely Black & White picture.
This past Monday I had the honor of mentoring a young girl who is also on this photography journey. She is smart, beautiful, and very motivated. I will be blogging about the mentoring session next week… So be on the lookout for that!
After our session, we went out and did some fun headshots at Fort Monroe. I have said this before and I say it again, I love Fort Monroe. This place has so much to offer as far as location and so many different looks. It is so much fun to shoot there!
When I took these two pictures of the beautiful Miss Brooke… I immediately knew I wanted them in Black & White. Something about the way her eyes are looking into the camera in the first one. And then of course the emotion of laughter in the second one. I love them both in color… However, I am more emotionally connected once they are in B&W.
I know weird… But it’s how I process things! LOL.
Thanks for following along on this journey with me!
And remember to hashtag #52weekswithlukeandash if you want to join in with me! Not too late!
