Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
This is going to be a long post. Word & Photos! Where do I even begin with this couple. With this wedding? I guess I should take you back a year ago to their engagement session. We met this couple at their venue. The Inn at Warner Hall. This venue is absolutely gorgeous and one we have been wanting to shoot at for awhile. The day of their engagement session looked like rain. We had a session earlier that day and we were tired. We were in full swing in the midst of our busy season and we were just worn out.
This couple are some of the most genuine and caring people we know. The way they love each other is so real and everyone around them feels it. After their engagement session we knew they were everything that we want in a couple and we had to hang out with them again! A whole year to wait for the wedding was just too long! We ended up inviting them over for dinner and it was such great conversation and again we just adored them even more. In the business world you hear over and over again to describe your ideal client. The more specific you can be the better. I never was able to nail down my ideal client. However, after meeting Jack & Lacey, our ideal clients are more Jack & Laceys.
Just as it was a year to the date before on their engagement session, clouds were looming over us. There was a slight nervous in the air about possible rain. However, just as before, Jack & Lacey brought the sunshine. The day was absolutely perfect! Not a single drop of rain fell and we thank the bourbon for that one! Every detail was meticulously thought out and executed. I love that as favors Jack & Lacey were thinking of their guests and what they might need. In November you never know what kind of weather you might get, so they had soft blankets readily available in case any of their guests got chilly. Also, as guests sat and waited for the ceremony to start they were able to enjoy warm apple cider to drink. I love how not only Jack & Lacey love one another but also those around them.
I cannot close this post out with some shout outs to some incredible people that helped make their day so great. First off is Theresa herself who runs the inn. This was my first time working with her and she is a woman who gets things done! I love how she was very accommodating and caring to our couple. She led us around the grounds and waited patiently for us to take pictures. This doesn’t happen often and when it does we are so grateful.
And lastly, but definitely not least is Courtney Inghram and her incredible team. I have worked with Courtney in the past and her attention to detail and love for her craft inspires me so much. Courtney worked her butt off this wedding and her work was absolutely stunning. I love that Jason, her husband is there by her side helping and encouraging her along the way. Running a business is stressful and in the midst of busy season it can seem overwhelming. I just want to say that Courtney it was a joy to work along side of you and you are truly gifted!
Jack & Lacey, our journey with you does not end here. You two are incredible together and it was an honor to capture the beginning of your love story. We look forward to watching you both grow together and we hope to have many more dinner dates with you in the future!
With love,
Luke & Ash
