Cape Charles Summer Backyard Wedding

It might be feeling like fall here in Virginia, but over in our house we are still hanging onto those summer vibes.

This summer backyard wedding will always be a wedding to remember for us.

Justin & Anna hired us awhile back.  Their engagement was long and we never had the opportunity to meet them until the week of their wedding because they live out of state.  However, despite our lack of meeting them beforehand, these two made everything a breeze. We decided to meet up with them a couple of days before to meet and greet and do a quick engagement session.  We met on the property of her family home in Cape Charles.  This would also be where the wedding would take place so it was perfect.  We couldn’t have asked for a better evening with them and afterwards we were set for their wedding day in just a few short days.

Summers in Virginia are HOT.  

And on this particular day in July the heat seemed to intensify.  The answer to the heat was a limitless supply of liquid hydration packs along with Liquid Death water. I am not sure how many cans Luke and I downed between the both of us but because we were able to stay hydrated the heat did not get to us.

This particular summer backyard wedding took place right on the water behind Anna’s parents house.  They rented a tent for their reception space and the ceremony was adored with beautiful, colorful flowers and overlooking the water.  It was was like something out of a wedding magazine.  I especially loved the detailed oyster chandeliers hanging in the tented reception.  The coastal details from this wedding was incredible.

Several people can take good photos. Especially if you have a good photographer.  Anna, is one of those people who not only takes good photos, but knows how to work the camera.  She was so much fun to photograph and seriously made our job so easy.  Mix Anna with Justin and then their gorgeous bridal party and you have one stunning portfolio!

Luke and I love the opportunity to shoot all over and see all sorts of wedding venues.  However, there is something so sweet about backyard, tented events. Especially this summer backyard wedding of Justin and Anna.
