Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
As I was thinking about this week’s word…
Soft
I couldn’t help but think of my new pretty orchid that Luke got me for our anniversary.
Orchids are such pretty flowers and also very delicate.
I am not sure if Luke knows this… I am not sure if Luke knows this…
but I am notorious for killing all house/yard plants. However, we will give it another try!
This orchid reminds me of my mom. She is the complete opposite of me.
She has such a way of nurturing and taking care of her flowers and plants.
She has created a safe haven in her backyard for all the Florida wildlife.
The birds come in droves, the squirrels, frogs, and everything else LOVE her yard.
It is definitely something to see!
Unlike my mom, I have never had any luck to keep around pretty flowers.
However, I am going to give it my best with this pretty orchid.
It says to water once a week with 3 ice cubes. And keep it by the light. I think i can do that!
However, my pretty little orchid has other worries. My 3 year old son keeps picking the flowers off.
He brings them to me and says how soft they are and to put them into my hair. 🙂
In his little mind when he sees a flower he automatically thinks of giving it to mom to wear in her hair.
( He is too sweet ).
So hopefully my pretty little orchid will last between me and my sweet 3 year old.
Only time will tell! 🙂
