I know this isn’t necessarily a picture of a family…. Well not a human family… But it is one of my favorites of my Bri… And we are about to celebrate her birthday and why not share this cuteness???

We cannot wait to see what 2016 brings and it is already looking to one incredible year!

This past Monday I announced our Family Session Giveaway.  We wanted to find a way to give back and be a blessing to a family during this holiday season.  As the entries rolled in and the stories I read, I was humbled.  Story after story of those who have not had family pictures together for years.  Some due to family finances, sickness, and others due to the military deployments.  Photos are what leave a legacy to our children and grandchildren.  They tell a story of who their parents were.  What kind of life they lived and what their dreams and aspirations were.  Photos are what people cling onto when a loved one passes.

So rather or not you have a a professional photographer or just a point and shoot camera… Take pictures.  Document the special times in your life.  The photos I cherish the most are not the professional pictures of our family growing up.  Its the pictures of the first day of school  my mom took, or the time I lost my first tooth.  The pictures of my dad laying on the couch with me next to him watching TV.

Those pictures are important to me because they bring me back to that moment.
