Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
Dear Gorgeous Bride to Be!
Here is a little secret…. Sometimes I can be a huge perfectionist!
It’s true, I pay attention to the tiniest of details and I can easily make those into big things! Marrying Luke who is laid back, chill, and oh so not a perfectionist was definitely a challenge!
But oh was it so good for me!
I have learned to relax over the years and have learned that perfectly lined and fluffed pillows on the couch do not make the world go round!
I love shooting weddings as I get to meet so many different couples!
So many different styles and personalities! It is a lot of fun! I have some brides who are like Luke.
Laid back and chill, just letting the day unfolds as it will and enjoying every moment of it.
Then I see some brides like me. LOL. More of the perfectionist.
Perfectionism is not a bad thing.
These brides usually have more details at their wedding,
they pay attention to the smallest of things which make their weddings unique and more personable.
I love weddings like these because I get to see the couples unique creativity all throughout the wedding!
However, the thing about wanting every little thing perfect, is that it never will be.
Some things are just not going to line up your way. And how you respond to this is so important!
We want you to enjoy your day! Something that you have dreamed and worked so hard for, we want you to enjoy the day of!
So my advice is if you are like me and are dreaming of the perfectly planned day regarding details, timeline, and etc….
Don’t get caught up in perfection . Prepare yourself.
Something will go amiss! And that is OKAY! That makes it even more memorable!
So have fun planning your wedding and more important have fun the day of your wedding!
Until Next Time,
Ashley
