Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
One of my goals for this year was to do my very own stylized shoot. I really wanted to do something where I could focus on details, posing, and at the same time get some footage for our promotional video. Well I think I succeeded in all. 🙂 I am so blessed to have some awesome supportive friends who support my creative and sometimes bossy personality. 🙂 Georgia is one of them. She is an Amazing girl and I just love sharing all my ideas with her. She just smiles and nods. 🙂 Well when I heard she wasn’t too happy with her wedding pictures I presented her with an idea that her and her husband could be my models in my styled shoot. She was immediately on board and I couldn’t be more excited!
I knew that I wanted to keep things simple. I am a DIY kind of girl so I began to plan what I could do and where I would need help. It was a couple of weeks before the session that I found Christine. Christine is an artist. She owns a business where she re-furnishes and creates beautiful pieces of furniture and decor. I messaged her and she was instantly ready to help. Seriously this girl was a blessing. The day of the shoot she helped me load and carry everything to set-up. I Loved the pieces that she brought and they couldn’t have been more perfect for the set.
The week of the shoot we have had terrible weather. I kept going back and forth about canceling. On the day of it was misting on and off and so I decided to continue on with it.
Well after set-up it started to rain….not mist. So there we were standing under the umbrellas waiting for it to stop while everything was soaking wet.
Instead of calling it off, we pushed through. Georgia and her husband Jonah were such great sports.
I also was very blessed that Tammy showed up. Tammy is also a local photographer who I feel the two of us have ALOT in common.
As I was doing the ring shots, she was taking pictures of all the details before the rain came down. So I am so thankful that she got those! She also got some pretty amazing shots. I love her perspective!
So here is our first stylized wedding….Luke is already trying to find ideas on how to make it a business…lol. I love my husband, He keeps me dreaming, and keeps me from not doing everything for free. 🙂
