This past summer we were so lucky to shoot this sweet Cape Charles Elopement.  

Jake & Kate are so much fun.

Kate is such beauty and if I ever need a model in the future she is definitely going to be one of the first people I call because the camera loves her!

Cape Charles is a coastal town that is so quaint and inviting.  We don’t get the opportunity to go there much but when we do, we try to make a day out of it. I have even found myself multiple times debating on buying a home out there.  It has the same vibes as Durango, Colorado if you have ever been just instead of mountains replace it with the beach.

These two decided to marry at this cute bed & breakfast called The Laughing King.  This home overlooks the Chesapeake Bay and is stunning!  It is definitely a hidden gem out there!  Maybe not hidden but we sure did not know about it until Jake & Kate.

This Cape Charles Elopement is definitely a favorite!

We spent the afternoon laughing and enjoying their company.  They had their first look on the dock and then went right into their ceremony.  It was so sweet and meaningful. We then had the best glowy light for portraits afterwards.  Again, such a great time laughing and getting to know them more.  We ended the day with their cake cutting which was hilarious because they knocked over their cake but Kate was quick on her feet and caught it!  We were impressed with her quick reflexes!
