Hi there! Welcome to the Luke & Ashley blog, a journal about our lives, our beautiful couples, and their stories we get to tell. Stay a while and do say hello if you please!
I am happy to say that this week I am starting my very first 52 week project.
I have seen a lot of other photographers do something like this.
Usually it is a 365 day project, iPhone project, or something of the sorts.
I love these ideas but I know I could never commit to a 365 day project.
Knowing me I would get backed up and shoot all of them in one day! And what is the point of that?
I wanted something to challenge me and also something that was more manageable.
I found a great list online that has a different project each week.
I have decided that I am going to change it up a bit and make each project something that is personal and represents me.
I am definitely excited to start this and I would love for others to join me!
I will be using the hashtag #52weekswithlukeandash

The first week is Macro.
I LOVE taking Macro shots. They make things that ordinary so much more interesting. So I really had to think of something that represented me and that would be interesting to shoot.
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE coffee & tea! It appeals to me on all 5 senses. Taste, Touch, Hearing, Sight, and of course smell.
Anyone that comes over will automatically be offered a cup of coffee or tea. It sets the mood for good conversation and a cozy environment for me.
So I figured I would start off with my favorite drinks… coffee & tea!

Ashley, splendid idea! The way you personalize mainstream ideas is a wonderful attribute. And from the cups of coffee and tea I e shared with you, this subject is a perfect place to start!
